Parent and Tot Soccer

TJ had his first night of Parent and Tot Soccer. It was hilarious to watch. TJ did a great job of following the coach and directions. He especially liked the drill where you roll through the cones!!!

Caterpillar Hunt

Brielle and TJ went on a Caterpillar Hunt and found 6 fat ones in the driveway. I thought it was funny that Brielle made TJ pick up the bugs and transport them to where ever she demanded!! She refused to touch them and TJ just picked them up with no hesitation. Not to mention about an hour of fun!!! Brielle took the 1st two pictures. She is into using the camera now.

Centennial Park

We are winding up our amazing summer:(. Thursday we went to Centennial Park with Fowlers to run through the Olympic Ring fountain. The kids had a blast. We also enjoyed Little Azio pizza after our adventure - yummm. We spent many days at the neighborhood pool, had VBS, swim lessons, went to the zoo, movies, pump it up, mountains, and beach to name a few things we did to waste our summer away. It truly was a great one and we can't wait for next summer. Can you tell that I'm depressed that I have to go back to work on Monday - NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

New Kitchen

We "fixed" the kitchen to make it more functional for our family. So far so good. I think the best part is the sink. I would not recommend you buy a black sink - scratches/dulls - ick!!

Isle of Palms

We spent a fabulous week at the Isle of Palms in South Carolina with Grandmere, Poppy, Uncle Brad, Aunt Erin, and Cousin Trey!! We had a great time eating, swimming and playing at the beach. We also went into Charleston and visited the Aquarium and ate at the famous Hymans Seafood. We also enjoyed a wonderful adult only dinner at the Boathouse on the Isle of Palms. I would highly recommend the Isle of Palms and both restaurants!!

Swim Lesson

The kids took swim lessons with Ms. Dorris this summer This was Brielle's second summer of lessons. She did very well and can swim on her own now. Although Mommy doesn't encourage it because it is too difficult to watch two kids at the pool when one isn't wearing floatation:). TJ's biggest challenge was not drinking the pool water - ughhhhhh.

Leeth Trip to Pigeon Forge

We spent a great father's day in Pigeon Forge with the Leeth's. We had a great time catching up, eating, shopping, hiking, and swimming in the mountains. Looking forward to doing it again soon!!

Vacation Bible School

Brielle spent the week at Vacation Bible School with her friends. She had fun "Surfing through the Scriptures"!!

Virginia Highlands Summerfest

This weekend we went to the Summerfest in the Virginia Highlands. Tim headed down early to run the race and the kids and I met up with him later. I think the temperature that day was about 98 degrees. Pretty much too hot to be in the sun or enjoy the yummy food. The kids hung out at the shaded playground and we fed them corndogs out of obligation:). They also enjoyed Minute Maid Ice to stay cool.

Trip to Ohio

We took a whirlwind trip to Ohio Memorial weekend. We had a great time visiting family and friends - thanks to everyone who came out to see us and to the Caldwell's and Hall's for their fabulous hospitality!! Tim's college roommate Colin got married on Saturday and we attended the wedding and Sunday was a great time spent with family for my nephew Trey's baptism.
