Thanksgiving Break

We had a great week off for Thanksgiving. Temps were in the 70's most of the week. We were busy and the park and zoo as well as getting ready for the Leeth's to visit. TJ finally got an appointment with the ENT and he received ear tubes on the 27th. We can already see the changes in him.

Zoo

We took a trip to the zoo on our fall break. The Jones's went with us. The first picture is of Alicia telling the kids the rules. TJ didn't listen and spent his time at the zoo running off like a mad man. We took a train ride and the weather was cool enough that we were able to see the lion for the first time.

Silly Boy

TJ can be so silly these days. He immediately says cheese now when he sees the camera. I think if his teeth weren't so messed up, we could attempt to get a modeling contract:)

Visit with Cousin Trey 8/07

One Blue One Brown

Not sure if you can tell in the picture but notice how the one eye is darker?? TJ has about a 1/3 of his right eye that is brown the other is as blue as can be.

Brielle's 1st day of School

Brielle started school/daycare last week. I think for the most part she really likes it. She is most excited about the hermit crab!! We have had to implement a sticker chart in the morning to avoid tears but it is working well. If all goes well, she will earn an ice cream treat tonight. I don't have any pictures of TJ's first days as tears are not something I want to document but, he has adjusted and for the most part, is enjoying himself. They are having trouble getting him to eat which is crazy, b/c he eats a ton for me!! Just yesterday he pee'd all over the girl who was changing him!! All 3 teachers in the room said that was a first for them - whatever!!!!!!

Brielle's Observation

I've always known that Brielle was an observant child but sometimes she says things to remind me just how observant she is. Here is a conversation we had in the car yesterday morning on the way to school.

Brielle: "Mommy, some cars have their lights on and some cars don't have doors" (as a jeep drives by)

Me: "That is a Jeep"

Brielle: "Yeah, the doors feel off. That car is for sheep" - this is her reference to a book we read called Sheep in a Jeep.

We took a weekend trip to Hilton Head Island. It is so nice to be able to get to the beach so quickly. We had a great time despite a virus bug that seemed to hit us all this week - ughhhh. TJ had no fear at the beach. He ran in and out of the waves screaming like an idiot for hours. He would even purposefully throw himself in the sand on his tummy and let the waves lap him in the face. Brielle preferred to play in the sand and made many new friends everywhere she went.

Summer Activities

The kids have been very busy this summer. Brielle participated in swimming lessons and vacation bible school and TJ went to Baby Power. We also spent several days at the pool and went to Pump it Up a few days. Lots of playdates as well!! Watch next week, when I'll blog our weekend trip to the beach:)

Children's Museum

We took the kids to the Children's Museum - Imagine It - in Atlanta last weekend. They really enjoyed the hands on activities. There was also a great Sesame Street exhibit. Below you see a picture of the kids trying to break into Sesame Street, Brielle painting, and TJ playing at the ball station.

Pilot Post

We'll, I've decided to jump into the 21st century and create a blog. Thanks to Christine who has me posting on the BW girls blog and all my friends who have the cutest blogs ever!!! I hope to post weekly to update all our friends and family that are so far away that we miss dearly. Happy viewing:)
